Vast Plains Safari — 11 Days

<p>After breakfast, departure for the village of Materuni at the foot of Kilimanjaro for a hike to the base of the mountain to see waterfalls and visit coffee plantations to see how the locals prepare coffee. Lunch in the village with the Wachaga tribe, dinner and overnight stay at Outpost Lodge Arusha or similar.</p>

<p>Breakfast, then continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at Country Lodge or similar. Lunch will be served in the village of Mto Wa Mbu, where you will walk through the village to see it.</p>

<p>Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for the Empakaai Crater, located in the protected area of Ngorongoro. Lunch at the camp. In the afternoon, descend into the Empakaai Crater for a walk in this beautiful crater. Dinner and overnight stay at the Empakaai camp.</p>

<p>Breakfast at the camp, then meet your Maasai guides ready for the walk to a Maasai village in Acacia. In the afternoon, a walk around the village to see the surrounding landscape. All meals and overnight stay at Acacia camp.</p>

<p>After breakfast, departure with the Maasai guides. The logistics of the journey will be handled by donkeys to traverse the Rift Valley and reach Lake Natron. You will be met by your guide in a 4x4 vehicle and taken to the lodge at Lake Natron Tented Camp or similar.</p>

<p>In the morning: Breakfast followed by a Maasai walk to the lake's edge, allowing for close encounters with flamingos and the kestrels, which are only found in this region. Lake Natron covers hundreds of square kilometers. This large salt lake is home to millions of flamingos. Stunning scenery with the lake's changing colors. Return to the lodge/camp for lunch. Afternoon: Hike with a Maasai guide upstream to the Engare Sero waterfalls, which cascade from the bottom of a magnificent gorge. Swimming is possible. Bring closed-toe shoes for walking in the water! Dinner and overnight stay at the camp or Lake Natron Tented Camp.</p>

<p>After breakfast, departure for Serengeti National Park. Picnic lunch. The scenery is truly magnificent. In the afternoon, arrival at Kleins Gate, the entrance to the Northwest Serengeti. Safari en route to Lobo Wildlife Lodge in the Northeast Serengeti or Ikoma Tented Camp in the Northwest Serengeti.</p>

Safari in Serengeti National Park, all meals and accommodation at Thorn Tree Camp or similar.

Early morning, breakfast, then safari en route to the park exit for Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and photo safari. Safari in this area where there is a better chance of seeing the rare black rhinoceros. Continue to the Karatu region for accommodation at Country Lodge Karatu or similar.

After breakfast and lunch, depart for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch and a safari in the park along the Tarangire River and other interesting locations to see herds of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, birds, etc. In the afternoon, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your return flight to Kilimanjaro or continue on to Zanzibar.
